Coorg is renowned for producing both Arabica and Robusta varieties of coffee. The region’s favorable climate, with its moderate temperatures, abundant rainfall, and high altitude, provides ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. The lush landscapes and biodiverse farms of Coorg contribute to the distinct flavor profile of its coffee.
Biota Coorg FPCL undertakes
- Induct members as shareholders from the coffee-growing community of Kodagu district.
- Collect, pool, process, and market grower members coffee to increase earnings by curing, exporting, and other value addition activities.
- Creating a brand for our coffees that builds on the ecological and environmental strengths of our district.
- Collective Strength: Biota Coorg brings together 110 coffee growers from Coorg to form a unified front. By leveraging their collective knowledge, capabilities, and resources, the FPC aims to empower its members and provide them with better opportunities.
